Why it rarely happens when the drug is working alone

Here's the mechanism. It's one of the few bits of drug fine print that leaves you calmer once it lands, not more wound up.

GLP-1 medicines (this is a class trait, not one brand's party trick) nudge the pancreas to release insulin in a glucose-dependent way. The moment insulin or a sulfonylurea joins the picture, the risk becomes real and specific, and the fix is a clinician trimming that other drug on purpose, never you freelancing it.
